About High Country Venture
High Country Venture, LLC (HCV) is affiliated with the private investment company Tango, which is located at 831 Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. Tango was founded in 1998 and has invested in over a dozen successful companies, including Service Magic and IZZE Beverage.
High Country is led by the following principals, each of whom has been with Tango since inception:
Mark T. Lupa, PhD
- BSc in Bioengineering from Northwestern University
- Masters in Bioengineering, PhD in Pharmacology, 15 years medical research
- Founder, former CEO, and CFO of Tabernash Brewing Company
- Served on several boards, including Left Hand/Tabernash, Taligen Therapeutics, Oberon, TheraTogs, and Sierra Neuropharmaceuticals
Christopher A. Marks
- BA from The Colorado College
- JD from University of Colorado School of Law
- Previously with Hogan and Hartson, LLC, Private Equity Practice Group
- Served on several boards, including Lijit Networks Inc., Latin American Realty and Smart Care Clinics, Inc.
